Working with you
As part of our work within Fishtank Creatives, Phatfish are available to come and work with your local church worship team to help you be more effective in what you do. Our passion is to worship God and to encourage others in that pursuit. We love to help develop musical excellence in the body of Christ and see musicians and congregations pressing into God with creativity and zeal.
Experience
Drawing from over fifteen years of experience in leading worship both in local churches and larger contexts across the globe, the Phatfish team members are uniquely equipped to offer insight and help to musicians develop their gifts in the local church.
Flexibility
We offer a package that can be tailored to suit the individual requirements of your church setting. A session would typically involve two or more of us coming to your church for an evening and giving an overview and some principles of working as an effective worship team, before we all roll up our sleeves and start playing some music! We will watch and listen to how you operate and then make suggestions for how things might be improved, which will include looking different musical parts, dynamics within the band and working with vocalists.
We are happy to chat about individual instruments, song arrangements, worship leading, song selection, PA, soundchecking, equipment, rehearsal etc – anything related to church worship where you feel you might be struggling.
We really want to serve you as best we can and our heart is not to be judgemental in any way
We will adapt if there are particular things that you would like to spend time on. We’re also aware that there may be other musicians in your team who play at different times and will make space for all to learn. Those not playing can watch and hopefully find it informative!

Prices
For an evening of training, we charge £275 plus 40p per mile travel expenses from Brighton. We are generally very busy on Saturdays so would need to charge more for training on these days. This may vary depending on circumstances, so please email us with any questions!
